Terms of Use
By using FingerCast you agree to these terms. The service is provided by MightyFinger for personal, non-commercial fishing use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
The service
FingerCast provides Gulf / Texas charting context, catch logging, and social feed features. Charts and conditions use third-party sources (e.g. NOAA, OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo).
Not for reliable navigation
FingerCast is not a navigation system and is not a substitute for official nautical charts, aids to navigation, a compass, or on-the-water judgment. Depths, tides, suggested courses, and weather are estimates and can be wrong or out of date. Always refer to official charts and navigation tools before and while you are underway. We are not liable for grounding, striking a hazard, damage to boats or other property, injury, or any other loss that results from using the app to navigate.
Your account
You are responsible for your password and for activity under your account. Provide accurate signup information. We may suspend accounts that abuse the API, spam, harass others, or post illegal content.
Your content
You keep ownership of catch photos and notes you post. You grant us a license to store, display, and distribute that content inside FingerCast according to the privacy settings you choose. Do not post content you do not have rights to share.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, automated account farming, or attempts to break into the service.
- No sharing of private locations of other anglers without consent.
- Follow local fishing regulations; FingerCast is not legal advice.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. We are not liable for grounding, striking a hazard, damage to boats or other property, injury, lost catch data, inaccurate charts, or decisions you make based on the app. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the prior 12 months (currently $0 for the free app).
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after notice means you accept the updated terms.
